The weekend of October 13-14, 2012, the FCWT will conduct a junior golf tournament at the University of South Florida Golf Course in Tampa, FL, known as “The Claw.”  The Claw at USF is considered one of Tampa Bay’s most challenging public golf courses.  The Claw features long, tight fairways lined with majestic oaks, towering cypress and pines.  As with many Florida courses, players at the Claw will probably see alligators, deer, spoonbills and other wildlife, much like playing in the heart of a nature preserve.  The Claw is home to the nationally ranked USF Men’s Golf Team and USF Women’s Golf Team. Other amenities include a grass tee driving range, and a large putting/chipping green.

The FCWT returns to the USF venue after a five-year hiatus.  Past Champions of the FCWT junior golf tournament at USF include: Yueer “Cindy” Feng (Girls 13 and under) and Ji Young Oh (Girls 13-18), both in 2006.  Yueer repeated in 2007.  Jon McLean won the Boys 16-19 division in 2004, while Johnny Widmer of Grand Cayman Islands won in 2005.  All results from previous FCWT junior golf  tournaments at the Claw can be seen on our website.
