The FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Tapatio Springs 2002 took place January 18-21, 2002. Junior Golfers played 54-holes at the Tapatio Springs Resort in San Antonio, TX.
A Family Affair: Brother-Sister duo, Kimberly Meck and Brian Meck won this FCWT junior golf tournament in their respective divisions. Kimberly went on to play collegiate golf at LSU. Brother Brian went on to play collegiate golf for the Baylor Bears.

The Boys 15-19 division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Tapatio Springs 2002 teed it up from 6512 yards.
Greg Koch of Wichita Falls, TX, carded an opening round of 72 to share the lead with Chris Myers. Myers of Southlake, TX, struggled in round two and dropped out of contention. Koch also struggled in Round Two but fought back with a 71 in the final round. It was not enough for the win, but Greg did share third place with James Minahan.
Brian Meck of Austin, TX (2003) won the Boys 15-19 division with rounds of 74-72-73-219. He finished two strokes ahead of Lance Vasquez of Fort Worth, TX (2002). Lance carded rounds of 76-74-71.
Barrett Martens of Platte City, MO (2002) was one of four junior golfers to finish at 225. Ben Smock of San Antonio (2003) and Ryan Henry of Broken Arrow (2003) also finished at 225. Will Osborne of Wichita Falls, TX (2004) was the 4th player to share 5th place. Will fired a final round of 70 on his way to 225.
Charlie Holland of Dallas, TX (2005) and Dan Kleckner of Spring, TX (2003) shared ninth place at 228.
Kimberly Meck of Austin, TX (2004) won the Girls division by 9 shots. Miss Meck posted rounds of 74-84-75. Kelli Stringer of Weldon Springs, MO (2002) finished at 242. Julia Best of Bulverde, TX (2003) earned 3rd place at 245.
In the Boys 11-12 division, Brett Spencer of Plano, TX (2008) won by 8 shots. Spencer carded rounds of 78-79-77. J. J. Brown of Austin, TX (2008) finished at 242 and earned second place.
