FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Bayonet 2015: Reeves and Stewart co-lead
In the Boys 15-19 division, Bradley Reeves of Woodbridge, CA (2016) and
Kyle Stewart of Fresno, CA (2016) are tied for the lead at even par 72. Will Bednarz of Larkspur, CA (2016) is two strokes back in 3rd place. Reeves finished T17 in this tournament last season, Stewart is playing in his first FCWT tournament. Sixteen-year-old Bednarz finished tied for 2nd place at the FCWT junior golf tournament at PGA West a couple of weeks ago when he fired a final round of 70, so watch for him on Sunday.
Max Meltzer of Corralitos (2017) and Alexander Chin of Pleasanton, CA (2017) are in a tie for 4th place at 75. Three players are at 76: Quinn Carlsen of El Dorado Hills, CA (2015), Matt Heitel of Redwood City, CA (2016) and Ben Wanichek of Eugene, OR (2016). A group of seven junior golfers are tied for 9th place at 77, just 5 strokes back of our co-leaders so there is still a lot of golf left to play.
Five players made an eagle on Saturday in the Boys 15-19 division: Quinn Carlsen, John Foley, Austin Hardman, Autsin Long and Nick Sharp. Six players each carded 4 birdies for their 18 holes: Jack Atwater, Will Bednarz, Mitchell Cornell, Matt Heitel, Max Heitel, Max Meltzer, and Bradley Reeves.
