This is the third FCWT junior golf tournament win for Mitchell this season. Previously he won at Coyote Creek in November. He was also the top Boys 12-14 finisher at Bayonet & Black Horse. At Half Moon Bay in January, Mitchell finished in second place. Earlier this month, Hoey finished in 3rd place at Silverado.
Fourteen-year-old Wyatt McGovern of Hillsborough, CA (2021) finished at 161. Wyatt posted rounds of 80-81.

Boys 15-19 Division
It was a great finish to the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Sandpiper 2018 for the Boys 15-19 division. The greens were hard and fast, making putting a challenge all the way around. But the junior golfers persevered and put out a strong finish to the Sandpiper Invitational presented by FootJoy.
Connor Howe of Ogden, UT (2018) began the day in the lead after opening with a 70 on Saturday. Howe played his final round with Tyson Dinsmore and Preston Gomersall.
Howe put up a 74 which was enough to capture the title by 2 shots. In Howe’s words, he won “by the skin of his teeth.” A bit of an exaggeration, but Connor certainly understood the many junior golfers who came to compete. Four of them shared Low Round honors with a 72 on Sunday.
Angelo Marcon of San Francisco, CA (2020) posted a 72 on Sunday after opening with an 80. He finished T11. Connor Brown of Los Angeles, CA (2018) also posted a 72 on Sunday. Brown finished T9.
Charles Alliston of Mountain View, CA (2019) saved par on the 11th hole on his way to a solid 72. Alliston finished in 8th place.
Costas Panay of Redmond, WA (2019) was in the hunt all day. He played so many great shots. Unfortunately had some putts that lipped out, but what a competitor! His 72 put him in a tie for 2nd with Mitchell Abbott.
Abbott of Las Vegas, NV (2018) is one of the junior golfers who has been featured in the FCWT Junior Golf Spotlight. Tyson Dinsmore also finished at 146 to share 2nd place with Panay and Abbott.
Two junior golfers finished at 147. Joshua Lim of San Francisco, CA (2018) and Preston Gomersall of Santa Barbara, CA (2018) shared fifth place.
Beyond The Top 5
Ryan Grauman of Alamo, CA (2018) finished at 148 and in 7th place.
Jett Thorson of Westlake Village, CA (2018) shared 9th place with Connor Brown.
