The FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018 is taking place December 8-9, 2018. Junior golfers are playing 36-holes of stroke play at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, FL. This is one of the FCWT junior golf tournaments on the 2018-2019 schedule.
Round One of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018
Arantza Armas Stenner of Durango, Mexico (2020) fired an opening round of 69 in the Girls division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018. Miss Stenner played the front nine at even par, carding all pars. Then on the back nine she made 5 birdies and 1 bogey for a 33. She leads by 2 shots over Maika Llarena Cervantes of Puebla, Mexico (2020). Miss Cervantes carded her own sub-par round of 71 (-2). She played each nine at one-under-par for a 35-36. Alise Knudson of East Greenwich, RI (2021) will start in third place at 74 for Sunday’s final round. Arantza led the girls division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018 with 5. Fran Ibanez Holmgren of Santiago, Chile (2020) and Alise Knudson co-led in pars with 13 apiece.
Boys 12-14 Division
Diego Passos of Orlando (2023) fired a bogey-free round of 66 on Saturday that included 5 birdies and an eagle. Passos played the front nine at 32 and the back nine at 34. He made his eagle on the par 5 13th hole. He leads the Boys 12-14 division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018 by 6 shots.
Kenny Leseur of Warwick, Bermuda (2022) also carded a sub-par round in the Boys 12-14 division. Leseur played the front nine at 37 (+1), but on the back nine he made three birdies plus and eagle on the par 5 16th hole for a 72 on this par 73 course. He leaves Yizhao Bin of Vancouver, Canada (2022) by two shots.
Boys 15-19 Division
Warnock is rockin’ it again. Luc Warnock of McGregor, ON, Canada (2019) fired an opening round of 67 (-6) to lead the Boys 15-19 division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018. Warnock won the Falcon’s Fire tournament a couple of weeks ago with rounds of 69-68. The 17-year-old will start the final round with a 5 shot lead over Juan Jose Maccise of Queretaro, Mexico (2021) and Luke Bigelow of Sharon, ON, Canada (2020). Both of these junior golfers will be looking for their first Top 3 finish of the season when play resumes on Sunday for the final round.
Zachary Katzenstein and Evan MacLean both of Canada are at even par 73 and will start in a tie for 4th place when the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Eagle Creek 2018 resumes on Sunday.
