The FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Timacuan 2019 is taking place February 25-26, 2019. Junior golfers are playing 36 holes of stroke play at Timacuan Golf Club in Lake Mary, FL. This is one of the FCWT junior golf tournaments on the 2018-2019 schedule.

Thirteen-year-old Justin Bai (2024) carded an opening round of even par 72 to take the lead in the Boys 12-14 division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Timacuan 2019.

Bai led the Boys 12-14 division in birdies with 4. He also led in pars with 10. Elias Tarner of Veracruz, Mexico (2023) had 9 pars and 2 birdies for Round One. He will start in 2nd place on Sunday at 80. Feanor Valaquenta, who won the Saddlebrook tournament, will start in 3rd place. Fourteen-year-old Feanor of Bradenton, FL (2022) opened with an 82.

Boys 15-19 Division FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Timacuan 2019

In the Boys 15-19 division, Brandon Valvano of Franklin Lakes, NJ fired an opening round of two-under-par 70.

Valvano played the back nine at two-under-par with birdies on 15 and 18. He leads by 5 shots over Mohit Balaji of Reunion, FL (2022). Fifteen-year-old Balaji won the Falcon’s Fire tournament in May 2018. This is his first tournament of the 2018-2019 season.

Three junior golfers share third lace at 76. William Wang of China (2019) carded 38-38.

Aaron Zhang of Lake Mary, FL (2023) carded 39-37. And Alex Whitehead of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL (2019) carded 36-40. They will start 6 shots back of our leader Valvano.

Zhang and Luke Bigelow of Sharon, ON, Canada (2020) each carded an eagle on Saturday. Bigelow will start T6 with Maxine Giboudot of France. They are both at 77.

Girls Division

In the Girls division of the FCWT Junior Golf Tournament Timacuan 2019, Greer Valaquenta of Bradenton, FL, who won at Falcon’s Fire and World Golf Village, was the early leader. Greer posted a solid round of 74 (+2). Elizabeth Kondal of St. Augustine, FL (2021) matched that score of 74 and Miriam Ayora of Spain (2020) posted a 75 (+3). Miriam won at ChampionsGate and Disney’s Lake Buena Vista earlier this season.

Late in the afternoon, SeYeong Lee of Seoul, South Korea (2025) came in with a solid round of even par 72 to take over the lead in the Girls division. Miss Lee carded 36-36 with 4 birdies for her round.

Miriam Ayora led the Girls division in birdies with 5. Elizabeth Kondal and SeYeong Lee both carded 10 pars on Saturday.
